• He began training with KC Vazduhoplovac. 25 years he remained loyal to his club. He now passes on his knowledge and experience as an chief instructor to a new generations of karateka.

• First in Yugoslavia won the black belt at age 11. He currently holds the rank of Godan (5th Dan black belt), achieved in 1995 under Master Toyotaro Miyazaki - Head of the International Shotokai Federation

Champion of Children, Cadet, Junior and Senior State Championships (kata and kumite) 26 times. Won 128 medals (91 gold) and 42 trophies.

• Champion of the U.S. three times, champion of the European Cup, third in European Championships, 4th in European Championships four times, champion of the Balkan, and champion of the Holland.

Graduate of prestigious Long Island University Karate Instructor Program, and became international lecturer in instructor training courses.

• At an invitation of the organizers, he attended as instructor and conference speaker at numerous international karate conferences.

• Best selector for the national women's kata team.
|
• Ivan Rodić has been the coach of Marina Kiš, silver medalists of the European Senior Karate Championships, and gold medalist of the World University Karate Championships.

In september 2007, he became selector for the national women's cadet, junior and senior kata team, and he achieved excellent results:

• Ivan Rodic is co-author of twelve books on karate published in the United States, and translated to Serbian.
